The Wrong Type of Shock Factor

Saw this on AOL.

Just in time for the holidays comes this spot for Boost Mobile, which uses the stop-action charm of TV classics like Rudolph, the Red-nosed Reindeer in a less than wholesome way. While some may find the commercial amusing, others may find the depiction of Mrs. Claus as a cheating spouse with a snowman fetish offensive. As one blog asks, "will you forgive Boost Mobile for ruining Frosty forever?"

How HORRIBLE!!!!!

First Batch of Christmas Cookies

YUM Sugar Cookies. My favorite holiday treat. Mom's cookies are the best and since I'm pretty far from her she supplied me with a Costco size box of mix. Jack and I decided to break the monster box open this evening. Jack took the lead from the start since he really enjoys using the mixer. While the cookies were in the over I came into the kitchen to check on them. Obviously no need since this is what I found around the corner.
Jack is so cute!

Also check out the AWESOME oven mitt I got last week. So cute!!!

Ironing in Style

Jack bought me an ironing board cover today. And it is MEOWfect (cat for perfect). Seriously do you think he could've found anything more me!? nope. not possible.

Thanks honey!

Sorry mom. (She got me one for Christmas yesterday! oops)

O Christmas Tree

We got our tree up today. My mom asked if it was a Charlie. Not this year! Jack picked a good one. There are even a few gifts under it already. :)

Update from the Kennel

What's it like to have the best dog around you might ask? It's better than a week at Disneyland!

Dutch is doing SO good!!!!! He is no longer behind in his class; he is at the top! We got a call from Kim last week and she was telling us how much she loves Dutch. "He is a Marking Fool!" Kim said he reminds her of Misty (Dutch's mom & Kim's dog). There has even been talk of testing Dutch for field trails. That is like having your child go to the Olympics!!!

I'm a proud mom.

Original Pranksters

After Thanksgiving dinner at my Grandma’s house I went up to Vancouver to spend the weekend with my mom. I missed her!!! We hadn’t spent a weekend together in 10 weeks!! I was in some serious need of mom time. We Christmas shopped, went out to eat and caught up on life. She taught me how to make Chicken Divan and we saw the movie The Invention of Lying.

Saturday afternoon we were loading gifts into the car when mom realized she had a turkey carcass still in the backseat from the previous night (for making soup). We didn’t have time to make soup, and we didn’t want to throw it away; so we plotted a nasty plot.

CJ my darling friend was spending the holiday in Arizona with friends and would not return home until Sunday evening. I got the gate code to her apartments and we left her the gift on her porch. We called Jack to tell him about our evil doings. He said he wished he could’ve been there so he would’ve for ONCE been the most mature person in the car. While we were cackling about how funny we were Jack said we were acting like sixteen year old girls and hung up. No sense of humor that one. Ha!

Sunday night I get a call from CJ shrieking; “Did you do this?!” I was laughing SO hard I couldn’t even say yes. I hung up on her and sent her this photo and video.

Luckily she thought we were pretty funny.
